Award-winning independent bookseller R.J. Julia and CRN International's Collisions division have launched a new podcast for book lovers called "Just the Right Book! Podcast."

The weekly show was created to help book enthusiasts and engaged readers discover new and notable books in all genres, provide unique insights into favorite authors, and bring them up to date with what's happening in the literary world. It is hosted by Roxanne Coady, owner of R.J. Julia Booksellers in Madison, CT, and highly regarded go-to person for advice on books, whose comments potentially make or break a new release.

Among the authors already booked for the early episodes are Amy Bloom, James Patterson, Maria Semple, Jacques Pepin and Matthew Dicks. Others slated to appear are: Michael Lewis, George Saunders, Luvvie Ajayi and Carly Simon.

"As a bookseller of 27 years, obviously I love reading books, talking books and conversing with authors. Now I get to do this on a podcast," said Coady. "Join us for author interviews, books that have a buzz, books we are loving, and inside publishing and bookselling news. We'll also be asking independent booksellers from around the country what they're displaying on their front tables and why."

The show launches today, with initial episodes available on iTunes and the podcast website at http://www.bookpodcast.com.

R.J. Julia's stated mission is to be "a place where words matter, where writer meets reader, where the ambiance and selection and merchandising of books creates an atmosphere that is welcoming and presents the opportunity for discovery." The bookseller hosts 300 events a year and also operates "Just the Right Book!," a service that profiles its members by reading interest and matches them to books they are likely to enjoy. R.J. Julia has won numerous awards including Publishers Weekly's Bookseller of the Year.

The podcast is the fifth in CRN's growing portfolio, which now includes shows on books, cars, self-help, sports and music. All of the shows, produced by CRN's Collisions podcast division, have appeared in iTunes' New and Noteworthy section. Their audience sizes represent the upper echelon of some 300,000 podcasts worldwide.

Other Collisions podcasts include: "Distraction," hosted by The New York Times best-selling author and leading psychiatrist Dr. Edward Hallowell; the "Car and Driver Podcast," in partnership with the editors of Car and Driver magazine; "The Official Sasquatch! Festival Podcast," a Live Nation music festival; and "Stockton!," hosted by sportscasting icon Dick Stockton.

CRN, which for decades has produced thousands of campaigns on radio stations throughout the country for hundreds of leading consumer brands, will work with Coady to create, produce and distribute the podcast on iTunes, Stitcher, SoundCloud and many other podcast outlets.
