Author Hashim Abd Ghani releases new book

Simplified practical procedures and useful reference in reciting and understanding the rituals of umrah abound in author Hashim Abd Ghani's latest publication, "Handbook For Umrah" (published by Partridge Singapore). A compendium of his rich personal experiences and counsel from his religious teacher, this book guides readers to experiencing a blessed journey with minimum effort and maximum achievement.

Allah the Almighty commanded Prophet Ibrahim, peace be unto him, to call people from all over the world for pilgrimage. In addition to the hajj, Muslims also perform umrah - a minor pilgrimage that can be performed any time of year to show submission to Allah and symbolize the peace and blessings of Prophet Ibrahim and his family. As this pilgrimage involves physical activities and ritual recitations, there must be physical and spiritual preparations - which begin even before pilgrims leave their home countries to embark on their journeys.
