BkONE Productions Announces LOVE IN THE AGE OF POP

bkONE productions presents (bkONE) Love in the Age of Pop: A Music Odyssey at The Duplex NYC, a concept Pop concert event and performing it at the famed NYC venue The Duplex.

"Being able to create a show, with amazing talent is one thing," said Anthony Marino, Artistic Director. "to have the opportunity to share it at a venue like The Duplex is the icing on the cake."

"What's so much fun, is that the songs are all different, yet pop driven. When put next to each other, they actually tell a loose story that bring you through the ups and downs of relationships and love." Added Melissa Licciardello, one of the performers. "Plus, the cast is out of this world, the talent level is crazy."

bkONE has been creating other special event concerts and cabarets throughout Brooklyn in the last year, and this concert is the culmination of the work. The concept of this concert is to reflect on the role music, in this case POP music has had on representing relationships and love. Songs by artists like Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Snow Patrol, Tom Petty, Demi Lovato, Fun., and many more will be included, and reworked to add to the story telling.

"We aren't just covering the song like the album, we are making them our own to help tell the story." Said Anthony Marino. "It's exciting to breakdown many of these seemingly radio hits and use them in for storytelling, if only in a concept show like we are creating, the audience will definitely enjoy it."

The show will play on Friday March 2nd at 6:30 and Saturday March 10th at 9:30pm, 3pm and 6pm at Duplex NYC.
