From three-time Oscar(R) nominee John Logan, the Showtime drama series Penny Dreadful debuted to 1.443 million viewers last night, besting the series premieres of recent network dramas Homeland and Masters of Sex by five percent (both delivered 1.38 million) in their first seasons. The series premiere of Penny Dreadful drew 872,000 at 10 p.m.

ESPN's live telecast of the Saturday, May 10, World Boxing Council (WBC) World Heavyweight Championship fight between Bermane 'B. Ware' Stiverne (24-1-1, 21 KOs) and Chris 'The Nightmare' Arreola (36-4, 31 KOs) delivered a 0.8 overnight rating according to Nielsen, making it the highest-rated fight on any ESPN network since 2003 (Monte Barrett vs. Eric Kirkland delivered a 1.3 overnight rating on October 3, 2003, on ESPN2). Stiverne defeated Arreola by TKO in the sixth round, making him the first boxer of Haitian descent to win a Heavyweight title.

Disney XD has ordered a fourth season of its hit bionic-teen comedy series 'Lab Rats.' It was announced today by Adam Bonnett, Executive Vice President, Original Programming, Disney Channels Worldwide. Production will resume in Los Angeles in October while new episodes continue to rollout, including a story arc that relocates the main characters – Leo, Adam, Bree and Chase – to the secret, high-tech island location of the first-ever Davenport Bionic Academy. Stories taking place at this futuristic training facility continue into season four, premiering in 2015.
