Universal Music Group and Lionsgate have signed a multiyear first-look television deal, according to Variety. This deal will have the companies developing original scripted and unscripted television projects drawn from UMG's portfolio of labels, artists and music.

New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT) is pleased to announce the results of the 2018 Board of Directors election. As a nonprofit 501c3 public charity, NYWIFT is governed by an 18-member board of directors. Board members serve on committees in the areas of Development, Membership, Communications, Programming and Special Events. The board is elected by the membership. Six spots on the board have been filled, with four returning members and two new members.

MoviePass announced that it will not raise its price to  $14.95, but beginning on Aug. 15, MoviePass customers will only be able to see three movies a month, compared to its former offer of one movie a day, according to Variety..

Food Network's hit series Food Network Star concluded on Sunday, August 5th, with chef and restaurateur Christian Petroni and food novelist Jessica Tom both named season 14 co-winners. Black Panther, Ryan Coogler's groundbreaking superhero movie, has crossed the $700 million mark in North America, Disney and Marvel announced. This comes nearly six months after it first opened in theaters, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

As the country readies for one of the most consequential midterm elections in recent history, the third season of the groundbreaking political documentary series THE CIRCUS returns with nine new episodes starting on Sunday, September 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME.
