Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot is in talks to executive produce and star in a limited series about film actress and inventor Hedy Lamarr, according to Deadline. The Affair co-creator/executive producer Sarah Treem, co-creator and executive producer of The Affair, is in talks to write the series.  

Rebecca Hall will make her directorial debut with Passing, an adaptation based on Nella Larsen's 1920s Harlem Renaissance novel that explores the practice of racial passing, a term used for a person classified as a member of one racial group who seeks to be accepted by a different racial group, according to Deadline.  Hall has also written the script, and Tessa Thompson and Oscar nominee Ruth Negga are attached to star.

Six-time GRAMMY Award-winner, Golden Globe Award-winner and Academy Award-nominated superstar entertainer Lady Gaga will launch her exclusive residency at Park Theater at the new Park MGM resort Friday, Dec. 28. SHOWTIME has announced a timely new three-part documentary series SHUT UP AND DRIBBLE, a powerful inside look at the changing role of athletes in our fraught cultural and political environment, through the lens of the NBA. SHOWTIME has announced that the ninth season of its hit comedy series SHAMELESS will expand to a 14-episode order, and will air in two parts – this fall and in winter 2019. The first seven episodes will begin airing on Sunday, September 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, with a midseason finale on Sunday, October 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The second half of season nine will premiere on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Hulu has boarded the critically acclaimed Australian series Safe Harbour for its U.S. debut as a Hulu Original Series. In a deal with NBCUniversal Television and New Media Distribution, the four-part event drama is the latest internationally-produced series to join Hulu's growing slate of thought-provoking original series, and will make its debut on August 24th.

The Television Academy has finalized a new eight-year deal for the rights to the Primetime Emmy Awards telecast with the Big Four broadcast networks, according to Variety.
