Montana, the short film from Writer/Director Michael Schwartz (Sunday In The Park With George, Company) will make its World Premiere at The 21st Annual Brooklyn Film Festival Saturday June 9th at Windmill Studios in Brooklyn. The film then competes on June 26th in the Digital Short Series Competition at SeriesFest in Denver, the “Sundance Of Television.” The short film is based on Schwartz's hour-long Sundance Lab finalist pilot of the same name.

In advance of their headlining run on the final Vans Warped Tour, Illinois rock-group REAL FRIENDS have released their latest single “From The Outside”. The editorial, social and photo staff at Fast Company today announced that they have unionized with the Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE). An overwhelming majority of the approximately 40-member staff have signed union cards and called on management to voluntarily recognize the Guild as its collective bargaining representative.
