San Francisco's African-American Shakespeare Company has announced that due to unforeseen circumstances the company's World Premiere of Nambi E. Kelley's, XTIGONE, directed by Darrel V. Jones, has been postponed, and removed from African-American Shakespeare Company's current season schedule. A RAISIN IN THE SUN, Lorraine Hansberry's timeless play about a 1950s-era Chicago family longing for a better life, will be the third and final production of the company's 2011-12 season.

Jeffrey Osborne is a funk and R&B musician, songwriter, lyricist and was for more than ten years the lead singer of the band L.T.D.. In 1982 Osborne released his self-titled debut album which featured two hit singles "Wings of Love" and "I Really Don't Need No Light." Gazeta reports that Moscow's Pushkinskiy cinema's Karo Film has signed a deal with Stage Entertainment theatre company for the building to be turned into a venue for live theatre. The cinema will rent the building out for musicals and will form a theater block with nearby theaters.

Deadline reports that SMASH creator and executive producer Theresa Rebeck will step down as showrunner for the television show before it returns for its recently announced second season. Rebeck will remain an executive producer of the show, but will not be as extensively involved in the day-to-day production of the series.
