SHAKEN: A James Bond Cabaret Comes to Melbourne Cabaret Festival 2018
Perfect for newbies and know-it-alls alike, Shaken plunges head first into over 50 years of James Bond iconography. Pitting the seven 'James Bond' actors against each other in a race to determine, scientifically, which of them is the greatest all-time Bond.
Winner of the Ballarat Cabaret Award and nominated for Best Cabaret at Melbourne Fringe 2016 and Best Show Newcastle Fringe 2018, Shaken is packed with some of the greatest Bond themes, trivia, and anecdotes from the last 56 years. Including hits from Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Gladys Knight, and Tina Turner, Shaken is a wildly entertaining, and light hearted look at the man known simply as 007.
Written and directed by Green Room Award nominee and WA Academy of Performing Arts alumni Charlie D. Barkle. Shaken features Charlie alongside Erin Jay Hutchinson an accomplished singer and actor best known for her role in the 2014 FRINGE WORLD award winning productions "Point & Shoot" and "What Doesn't Kill You [blah blah] Stronger".
Whether you're a new convert to Bond movies through Craig or Brosnan, a fan of the kitschy Moore era, or a classic Connery devotee, Shaken is the show for you.
