Flipside Circus Presents ROLL UP!...OR RUN AWAY? 6/30-7/4
Flipside Circus proudly present their latest work 'Roll up!....or Run Away?'.
These days many children and young people and in fact many adults never get to see the circus like they did in the old days. The era of the traveling circus are numbered!
Supported by local four piece gypsy band 'The Urchins' audiences will love the toe tapping, hip slapping yet remarkable ability of these young artists as they play the violin, viola, cello and double bass. The Urchins (aged 17-18 years) are students of the Qld Conservatorium of Music and members of the Qld Youth Orchestra will play the entire show and their music is addictive and presence on stage is enthusiastic to say the least!
Through the amazing skill and physical dexterity of the nineteen Flipside performers (aged from ten to eighteen years) you will laugh, be amazed, and in awe at the death defying and incredible stunts. There will be the crowd favourites of trapeze, juggling, tissu and lyra as well as a couple of surprise acts! And don't forget the music!
This is circus art of the best kind, interesting and fresh, fast and untamed, comical and unexpected. Devised and developed by the performers this show is fantastic school holiday entertainment.
If you haven't been to the circus in a while 'grab a child and get on down to the Brisbane Powerhouse'.
Presented as part of the Brisbane Powerhouse Powerkidz programme. Recommended for all ages.
