Miss Daisy has now motored in Melbourne after enjoying travelling around Brisbane and Sydney, with the acclaimed production of Driving Miss Daisy previewing at the Comedy Theatre on Friday, April 5, ahead of the official opening night on Saturday April 6 at 8pm.

Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic play Driving Miss Daisy is proving to be the "must see" event in the 2013 Theatre Season across Australia. The Brisbane season totally sold out, as were many of the Sydney performances, and the production has received rave reviews from audiences and critics alike. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see two of the titans of Hollywood and Broadway- five-time Tony Award and three-time Academy Award nominee Angela Lansbury and two-time Tony Award winner and Academy Award winner James Earl Jones, alongside four-time Tony Award winner Boyd Gaines.

The Courier Mail said, "It was a spine-tingling piece of theatre that pulled you into the performance - and never let you go... they take what is already a warm, funny, engaging and compelling piece of theatre and turn it into something truly magnificent. This is a theatrical masterpiece that those who are fortunate enough to see will never forget." The Australian claimed, "From the moment Angela Lansbury and James Earl Jones enter simultaneously from opposite wings in Alfred Uhry's Driving Miss Daisy, the spontaneous eruption of applause indicates that everyone's aware of the theatrical master class lying ahead... For the audience, this is such an easy production to love, given the whole-hearted warmth and generosity of the performances."

The Sunday Telegraph praised, "performances of such subtlety and truthfulness that we are totally captivated by their unfolding story... All are such masters of their craft that when the audience leap to their feet for a standing ovation it is because we know we have witnessed something special to be long remembered and treasured." The Sun Herald said, "Watching these two acclaimed performers work their craft with such mastery is a joy and the depth of feeling between them at the end takes you by surprise." Aussietheatre reported it is "a once in a life-time opportunity" and Theatre People said the production was "warm, honestly funny, sincere, composed, poised and utterly astounding."

A timeless American play, which inspired the beloved Academy Award-winning film, Driving Miss Daisy tells the affecting story of the decades-long relationship between an elderly Southern Jewish woman, Daisy Werthan, and her compassionate African-American chauffeur, Hoke Colburn. Their iconic tale of pride, changing times and the transformative power of friendship has warmed the hearts of millions worldwide.
