THE X FACTOR ALUMNI - Alexandra Burke

First up for our X Factor retrospective is last year's winner, Alexandra. Since she scored a massive Christmas number one hit with her cover of Hallelujah, she's been out of the spotlight, busy recording her debut album. The album will be called Overcome and its title track is one of a few songs which have leaked so far, a big ballad that will please anyone hoping for Alex to be the new Leona Lewis.

However, her debut single Bad Boys takes her in a far more poptastic direction, and with production credits on the album including RedOne, the Freemasons and Taio Cruz, we can expect many more upbeat party songs to distance her from The X Factor's biggest star. Only time will tell whether Alexandra can emulate Leona's success, or whether anything less than a worldwide monster hit will leave her labelled as a failure. And now, with JLS doing so well with their debut single, Alexandra has even more to live up to. Let's hope that album's really, really good!
