Sadler's Wells Will Host Flamenco Festival, Circus & Dance Film Fest This June
THE MUSIC IS BLACK FESTIVAL, BALLET FLAMENCO DE ANDALUCIA, and HEAD FIRST ACROBATS are among the highlights.
Now in its 21st year the annual Flamenco Festival will return this June for two weeks (Tuesday 16 - Monday 29 June) across Sadler's Wells Theatre, Lilian Baylis Studio and Sadler's Wells East. The festival features 10 productions including five UK premieres from world-renowned flamenco dancers, choreographers and musicians – showcasing the very best the genre has to offer.
Acclaimed dance company Rambert celebrates its centenary at Sadler's Wells Theatre with This is Rambert, a mixed bill featuring work from (LA)HORDE, Emma Evelein and a brand-new commission (Wednesday 10 - Saturday 13 June).
At the Peacock Theatre, Onyx Productions makes their Peacock Theatre debut with 360 ALLSTARS featuring an international cast of World Champion and World Record holding artists and athletes, offering a fusion of the artistry of street culture including BMX tricks, basketball magic, beatboxing and acrobatics (Tuesday 2 June - Saturday 6 June). After a critically acclaimed sell out season in 2025, Head First Acrobats returns to the Peacock Theatre with an adapted version of their debut piece Return of The GODZ (Wednesday 10 - Saturday 20 June).
At Sadler's Wells East, Portuguese choreographer and 2025 Rose International Dance Prize finalist Marco da Silva Ferreira presents his highly anticipated new work F*cking Future (Thursday 4 - Saturday 6 June). Carlos Acosta presents the latest graduates from his Cuban Dance Academy, Acosta Danza Yunior Company in Next Generation, a quadruple bill with work from Susana Pous, Juliano Nunes, Kit Holder and Didy Veldman (Wednesday 17 - Saturday 20 June). Leeds-based Phoenix Dance Theatre returns following their sell-out production Inside Giovanni's Room in 2025, with Interplay, a mixed bill of works by internationally renowned choreographers (Wednesday 24 - Saturday 27 June).
Sadler's Wells East will become the social dance hub for The Music is Black Festival from East Bank with The Dance Floor is Black: four specially programmed weekends throughout the summer, each responding to different genres of Black British music. The first weekend, taking place across Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June, is themed The Music Is Ours - celebrating London's legacy as the birthplace of Grime. On Saturday, Kloé Dean presents Garage X Grime Reload at Sadler's Wells East, an evening inspired by the respective music scenes, which includes a new commissioned duet, Mr S as the house DJ and a very special guest set from DJ Sticky. During the day east London-based Flykid will bring fun for all the family and on the Sunday, Breakin' Convention will take over The Dance Floor with exhibition battles and DJs in the world of Soundsystem culture and Grime.
In the Lilian Baylis Studio, Sadler's Wells presents inaugural film festival Dance Digital, celebrating the best of dance in digital formats (Friday 5 - Sunday 7 June). 45 films from all around the world will be screened over the weekend, including two VR experiences. Following an open call, 415 films were submitted for inclusion from 55 different countries, an awards ceremony will celebrate the best films across six categories. Mentoring and networking events across the Festival will connect dance artists, filmmakers and experts.
Three new films are available to view for free on Sadler's Wells Digital Stage this June. As part of Elixir Festival 2026, dancers of all ages came together to perform the iconic Nelken Line, one of Pina Bausch's most celebrated sequences. This short film captures the joyful procession moving from Sadler's Wells East through the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, led by Pina Bausch company member Anne Martin.

To mark Pride Month in June and the return of Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo to Sadler's Wells this May Ballerina Boys will be available on Digital Stage. This film tells the company's story past and present exploring issues of gender, inclusion, social justice and LGBTQ+ history.
