Stage and screen favorites Vanessa Williams, Becki Newton, Michael Urie and America Ferrera spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the upcoming season of ABC's "Ugly Betty."

"Ugly Betty" premieres tonight, Friday, October 16 with a special two-part episode airing 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET. Its regular time period this season is Fridays, 9-10 pm. ET on the ABC Television Network. "Ugly Betty" is a Golden Globe and Emmy winning comedy starring America Ferrera in the title role, along with Eric Mabius, Judith Light, Rebecca Romijn and Vanessa Williams. The series premiered on September 28, 2006, on ABC in the United States.

It follows the adventures of the unglamorous and good-natured Betty Suarez (Ferrera), and her incongruous job at the ultra-chic New York City fashion magazine Mode.

Based on "Yo Soy Betty La Fea," the groundbreaking Colombian telenovela that became an international phenomenon, "Ugly Betty" is from ABC Studios. The series has been awarded Golden Globe, Peabody, NAACP, ALMA and Imagen awards and earned 11 Emmy nominations, the most for any comedy series on any network. Executive producers are Silvio Horta ("Urban Legend"), Academy Award-nominee and Emmy Award winner Salma Hayek, Jose Tamez, Joel Fields ("Dirt," "Commander in Chief") and Richard Heus.
