THE SOUL MAN is a new TV Land series which will make its debut on June 20.  TV Land has released a sneak peek of the new comedy in which Reverend Boyce Ballentine (Cedric the Entertainer) helps his wife Lolli (Niecy Nash) pick out the perfect pair of shoes for church...or does he? THE SOUL MAN premieres Wednesday, June 20, at 10PM/9C on TV Land

THE SOUL MAN centers on Boyce as "he moves home to St. Louis with his family to preach at his father’s church where his clan has to adjust to their new, humble life." It is a spin-off of the network's hit comedy 'Hot in Cleveland', in which the character of Boyce first appeared in April of 2011 in an episode titled "Bridezelka". 'Hot in Cleveland' stars Betty White, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick, and Valerie Bertinelli. Upcoming guest stars on the show will include 'The Voice' judge Cee Lo Green.

Soul Man producers include Cleveland producers SuzAnne Martin, Todd Milliner, and Sean Hayes, along with Cedric the Entertainer. The show's first season will see a host of celebrity guest stars including Anthony Anderson, Tamar Braxton, Trina Braxton, Kim Coles, Robert Forster, and Sherri Shepherd.
