BYE GEORGE! AN END OF AN ERROR is a celebration nearly a decade in the making. What started with a few hundred hanging chads in the Fall of 2000 has finally come to an end...8 years, 2 wars, and one Depression later. Think of it as a going away party for everyone's favorite Cowboy. Mr. Bush, don't let the door hit you on the way out! This once in a lifetime celebration of the most exciting presidential torch pass in a generation is being rung in by some of New York's most exciting and hilarious performers. This important and memorable night features the very best in comedy, music, games, prizes, countdown mayhem and surprise guests that makes you almost wish for one more night of Bush. It's an intimate night of bawdy, political, musical hilarity that only Joe's Pub can provide.

In honor of the Man-Boy Leader of the Free World, we celebrate his departure with some highflying games, prizes, and give-aways. Including the ever so popular "He said, WHAT?" "The "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED Piñata Swing" and the newly favorite "Lame Duck And Shoe Toss".

If you can't be in Washington D.C for the inaugural celebrations of our historic 44th President, then you might as well be at Joe's Pub to share in the merriment of 43's imminent and much needed departure. This night is for anyone and everyone who had the good sense not to cast a ballot for Bush Junior, or is in need of repentance and a good soul cleanse. The show pays tribute to the administration's most memorable moments through song, comedy, cabaret, and banter. No stone will be unturned; no Vice Presidential Shot-Gun will be uncocked. And, in a downtown tradition sure to inspire a drinking problem worthy of Bush's past, the night will end with a champagne toast to the next 8 years that can only head in one direction, up!

Her signature style of musical class and biting comedy is perfect for the celebration in the intimate Joe's Pub setting. Lea Delaria (Performer/Host): Lea Delaria has distinguished herself in every form of entertainment that she touches. Jazz Musician, Broadway Diva, Actor Writer and Stand-Up Comic, it is plain to see why Ben Brantley of the New York Times describes Lea as, "Every inch a star." Lea Delaria, who already enjoyed a career as a Broadway singer and stand-up comedian, made her recording Warner Bros. debut in 2000. Hailed by the Times as 'the Best Jazz Album of 2001", Play It Cool confirmed Lea as one of the best jazz singers of our time. As a result of all these musical comedy turns, Ms. DeLaria's singing career blossomed. She toured nightclubs and concert halls. (Judy Garland TRIBUTE, MY FAVORITE BROADWAY-THE LEADING LADIES, Billie Holiday TRIBUTE, JAZZ SALUTE TO SONDHEIM, Harold Arlen 100 BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION all at Carnegie Hall / END OF THE MILLENNIUM CONCERT, Billie Holiday TRIBUTE at The Hollywood Bowl) Her first record PLAY IT COOL was named Album of the Year by the London Times, with the single THE BALLAD OF SWEENEY TODD remaining at #1 on Jazz radio in the U.S. for 2 months. Her second, DOUBLE STANDARDS leapt onto the Billboard Jazz Chart at #6. The singles CALL ME and PHILADELPHIA from this recording are regular spins on Jazz radio through out the U.S.,Canada, and Europe. Lea has toured most of the large Jazz Festivals including LONDON, NEW YORK CITY JVC, and MONTREUX, culminating in her appearance as the featured vocalist of THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE NEWPORT JAZZ FESTIVAL TOUR.

Michael Urie (Special Guest): Actor, television producer and director, best known for his portrayal of Marc St. James on the ABC dramedy series Ugly Betty. During the 2007-2008 Writers Guild of America strike Urie hosted TLC's reality-based series "Miss America Reality Check." The program followed the contestants participating in the 2008 Miss America Pageant. Urie played the central character in the stage play WTC View as well as in the film adaptation. He is currently finishing a short documentary film, Two Down that centers on high school speech and debate tournaments, for Frontal Lobe Productions.

Jessica Kirson (Special Guest): Jessica Kirson's wide variety of characters brings a diverse energy to her routine. Once you have seen her amazing talent, it is easy to understand why she was selected to perform at the Hamptons, Toyota, Marshall's Women in Comedy, and Las Vegas comedy festivals. She has been featured on various television shows, including Comedy Central's "Premium Blend" and "Fresh Faces," Nickelodeon's "Sixth in the Suburbs," Noggin's "LOL," VH1's "Awesomely Bad Hair," "Awesomely Bad Love Songs," Oxygen's premier game show "Can You Tell?," Bravo's "The Great Things About Being," The Women's Television Network's "She's So Funny," NBC's "Last Comic Standing" Seasons 2 and 3, and NBC's "Last Call With Carson Daly" and "The Tonight Show". In 2006, Jessica was given the MAC Award for "Best Female Comic" in New York City.

Justin Bond (Special Guest): New York City's most celebrated gay iconic performer and drag queen, best known for his drag incarnation, Kiki, an aging, bitter chanteuse known for her raucous and edgy medleys of unusual cover songs. Kiki & Herb: Alive on Broadway was nominated for a 2007 Tony for Special Theatrical Event. Justin also performs as himself, with his backup band, the Freudian Slippers and as himself, in the film Shortbus. In December 2008, Justin Bond appeared in the Tiger Lillies show Sindrella in London, and is credited in the band's upcoming album of the same name.

Lance Horne (Producer/Musical Director): Lance Horne received a 2008 Emmy Award for Best Original Song for "Chemistry" (One Life to Live: Prom Night, The Musical, ABC). As a singer and pianist, he has played this season with Amanda Palmer, Jake Shears, Ana Matronic, Meow Meow, Nellie McKay, Justin Bond, Alan Cumming, and opened for Death Cab for Cutie, appearing in Carnegie's Berlin in Lights series, the David Bowie-curated HighLine Festival, Weimar NY at the Green Door, Shanghai, and with Meow in Berlin, Ann Arbor, Sydney, and Edinburgh Festivals, Pina Bausch Tanzfestival, and the Dresden Dolls Tour. He provided the vocal arrangements for Broadway's Little Women, and annual opening numbers for The Actors Fund and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (Gypsy of the Year '04-‘06). Compositions for TV: Lincoln Center Tree Lighting with Sesame Street, ABC; 80th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for Diana DeGarmo & The Phoenix Boys Choir, 82nd Macy's... for The Clique Girls, NBC. He received the Jonathan Larson Award for composer-lyricists, and residencies at O'Neill NMTF and TheaterWorks Palo Alto. He is a visiting faculty member at EAMA in Paris, HyperIsland in Stockholm, Interlochen Arts Academy, and teaches precollege at The Juilliard School, where he received his Bachelors and Masters in Music studying with Milton Babbitt.
