3rd Annual TOMATOES GOT TALENT to Crown Top Tomato This Sunday

There's not a rotten one in the bunch! 12 mega-talented semi-finalists will perform in the 3rd Annual "Tomatoes Got Talent" singers contest at The Triad Theatre, 158 West 72nd Street, on Sunday March 13 at 3pm. The juried affair -- which celebrates the talents of women-over-40 who have made their marks outside of the entertainment world (some are re-entering show business after hiatuses of one kind or another) -- is hosted by Randie Levine-Miller, who co-produces with Cheryl Benton, the editor and publisher of Thethreetomatoes.com.

Narrowed down from a field of over 30 singers in preliminaries last month, these 12 singer-performers will share their ample gifts with a talent-hungry audience and a highly discerning blue-ribbon jury. For the third year in a row, the judges are these show business veterans: The Tony-nominated Beth Fowler who currently is a SAG Award-winning featured regular on the red-hot Orange is the New Black; TV and Broadway actress Margaret Colin, who currently stars in "City of Conversation" at The Kennedy Center, and Alyce Finell, the co-director of The Mabel Mercer Foundation.

Paul Chamlin is the music director (and token male). Making a special guest appearance will be the 2014 "Tomatoes Got Talent" winner Karen Nason.

A gala "Tomatoes Got Talent" concert benefiting a major charity, hosted and produced by Levine-Miller on Wednesday June 15 at 7pm (also at The Triad) will feature the first three "Tomatoes Got Talent" grand-prize winners, as well as several stars from the worlds of Broadway and cabaret.

Among the ripe talents vying for a top prize with over $3,500 in gifts, not to mention an invitation to appear at the June 15 concert, are book-publishing executive Beth Goehring; Ellen Naomi, an abstract artist; Jane Deeken, a personal assistant to a NYC philanthropist; Jeanne Marino, a piano and voice teacher; retired flight attendant Jo Marchese; legal secretary Kathleen Waters; Marcie Chasen, the ownter of a national market research firm; Mary Malloy, a newspaper editor and reporter (she's also a first runner-up in the Ms. NY Senior America pageant); legal secretary Mary Roesler; Michele Sivori, a computer expert at a large financial services company; Patrice Richardson, a former cruise ship performer who now owns a designer consignment boutique, and Susan Mack, who, after working on Wall Street for 20 years is returning to her first passion.

Three runner-ups will also be selected on Sunday.

Levine-Miller has produced and hosted over 90 star-studded musical entertainment events at the Metropolitan Room, at Feinstein's, and, for many years, at the Friars Club.
