The Cocoon: An Immersive Theatre Experience

Get up close and personal to the most intimate moments of the human romantic experience. Following a critically acclaimed season of sold-out performances at Adelaide Fringe 2018, The Cocoon returns to the Adina Tunnels with a fresh take in March of 2019. Challenging the audience on the constructs of romance, gender and sexuality in ways that are fresh, exciting and deeply honest, this piece looks at relationships and the binding universality of love which transcends binary understanding of gender and sexual self-identification.

This year, The Cocoon will be presented as a series of looping vignettes that the audience is encouraged to actively respond to and become a part of. Each vignette is set in another cavern of the tunnels and the audience will choose their own course and experience as they float through the space. It promises to be a truly immersive, innovative and experimental take on this seasoned and developed script.

So, get caught in the nauseating cycle of a breakup, fall smitten for the first time, agonize alongside the heartbreaking blows of unrequited desire and let your heart melt with stories of the metamorphosing nature of true love.

Party Snake: A One-Queen-Show about being human

After a critically acclaimed world premiere at Melbourne's 2019 Midsumma Festival, Party Snake is coming to Adelaide Fringe.

An electrifying one-Queen show about the raw, glamorous and raucous life of a Drag Queen. Party Snake is about the many skins we wear to blend into the many lives we lead and the many people we are all at once. From drugs to eyelashes to philosophy, Party Snake is a sure night of hilarity, tenderness and boundless imagination.

Party Snake delves into the world of drag on a raw, personal and deeply philosophical level. Drag, a previously fringe and shadowed form of self expression has recently exploded into the mainstream in a big way. Party Snake seeks to explore the still hidden stories of this art form, and bring the person and persona closer together in an intimate and accessible way. This hour long one-person-show seeks to deconstruct a one-night experience of a deeply introspective Drag Queen and strip away the layers of the human condition internally and externally.

Featuring Melbourne-based performer and star of Instagram's @thetilleyproject, Lachlan Martin, Party Snake is a new look into a world of so many colours, sides and angles.
