THE COCOON: AN IMMERSIVE THEATRE EXPERIENCE at Adelaide Fringe this March

Get up close and personal to the most intimate moments of the human romantic experience. After a successful run at the Melbourne Fringe Festival, The Cocoon is hitting Adelaide's Adina Treasury Tunnels this March. The Cocoon challenges the audience on the constructs of romance, gender and sexuality in ways that are fresh, exciting and deeply honest. This piece looks at relationships and the binding universality of love which transcends binary understanding of gender and sexual self-identification.

The Cocoon is presented in a series of looping vignettes which the audience is encouraged to actively respond to and become a part of. Each vignette is set in another cavern of the tunnels and the audience floats through the tunnels and the experiences with the performers. Get caught in the nauseating cycle of a breakup, fall smitten for the first time, agonize alongside the heartbreaking blows of unrequited desire and let your heart melt with stories of the metamorphosing nature of true love.
