Junglebean to Present MILES AWAY at 2014 Adelaide Fringe Festival, 2/17-22

Miles Away joins shows such as 'Dickens' Women' in presenting the ultimate actor's challenge; one hour, one actor, sixteen distinct characters.

Renee Gentle (The Call, Boxing Day Test) plays Alex a city girl who travels from suburbia to outback Australia on a road trip with a twist. Riding her bicycle doctors, drunkards, and dangerously disarming characters enter and exit Alex's world as rapidly as her pedals turn.

Gentle says "All of the characters in this show are quintessentially Australian. You will find them sitting at the bar in a small town pub, or on the dance floor in a city nightclub. Each has their own unique and often very funny story to share."

Award winning Adelaide based theatre company Junglebean, and Blue Dingo Productions collaborate to present Miles Away, a brand new development of the critically acclaimed short play 'Six Dollar Solitude' first performed in the Adelaide Fringe 2012.

Joining local writer John Doherty and Gentle is Ting Yun, a musical prodigy at the age of only 19. Attending the Conservatorium of Music since the age of 17 Yun provides a spectacularly beautiful live soundtrack.

Miles Away is a rapid fire, tongue in cheek tale not to be missed at this year's Adelaide Fringe.
