It Doesn't Matter If You're Black Or White, JACKSON VS. JACKSON Is A Show For Everyone

Winners of the 2017 Fringe Weekly Awards, Gospo Collective are returning to the 2018 Adelaide Fringe with their biggest production yet, Jackson vs Jackson, a tribute to Michael and Janet Jackson at The Peacock, Gluttony.

A gospel-esque experience unlike anything else in the Southern Hemisphere, Jackson vs Jackson is a must-see one hour choral extravaganza that will pay homage to the Jackson siblings as they continue to receive global praise for their sweet and soulful vocals.

Musical Director, Charmaine Jones-Devasagayam said this show was inspired by two of the greatest musicians of our time who changed the face of an entire genre.

"Michael and Janet Jackson believed that the love and power of music could be used to integrate every race into one, which is exactly what inspired me to produce the Jackson vs Jackson show. We have more than 100 cast members and some of the best voices in the state to support the Gospo Collective in bringing this production to life."

"It's not a Jackson sibling tribute without fashion to match. I'm delighted to have local fashion designer, Cristina Tridenti create a custom Jackson inspired costume especially for this show," she said.

A performance for young and old, Charmaine went on to say how the show will appeal to all ages and backgrounds. This is the perfect family show. Everyone will love it!

"I am proud to say that we are knocking down the walls of 'gospel' to create something new and beautiful - using this style of music to re-work contemporary greats, puts a new spin on this genre and creates something not seen before in this country," she said.

The audience can enjoy greats like; The Way You Make Me Feel, Miss You Much, All For You, Black or White, Billie Jean, Thriller, Man In The Mirror and Heal The World - iconic hits from the King and Queen of Pop.

Gospo Collective will headline Jackson vs Jackson and will be joined by a supporting choir of more than 100 local and interstate singers consisting of The Jones Juniors and The Jones Commentary - making it one of the largest casts at the 2018 Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Gospo Collective is returning to the Adelaide Fringe after premiering in 2017 with their show Gospolation. The new show, Jackson vs Jackson is again suitable for the entire family, young and old.

The season runs over six days between Friday 16 February and Sunday 25 February at Gluttony.

Tickets are on sale now and people are encouraged to get in quick as this season will sell out.
