Australian singing sensation Dami Im is set to bring some Christmas cheer to Adelaide when she performs at this year's QBE Insurance Carols by Candlelight on December 10.

The multi platinum selling artist, former X Factor star and Eurovision finalist will headline the free event, which is expected to attract more than 30,000 people to Elder Park for a spectacular evening of Christmas carols, live musical performances and fun for the whole family in support of Novita.

Fresh from her stellar performance at the 2017 AFL Grand Final, Dami said she was thrilled to be headlining the QBE Insurance Carols by Candlelight.

"It's my first Carols in Adelaide and I can't wait to spread a little Christmas joy throughout Elder Park and hear you all sing along with me to your favourite Christmas carols," she said.

Now in its 73rd year QBE Insurance Carols by Candlelight, proudly presented by the Government of South Australia, is Adelaide's biggest carols event, attracting generations of families to enjoy classic Christmas carols and live entertainment in a festive community atmosphere in beautiful Elder Park.

Hosted by Channel Seven's Rosanna Mangiarelli, Mark Soderstrom and Amelia Mulcahy, the 2017 event will see Dami Im lead a sensational line-up of artists singing all-time favourite carols and Christmas songs, followed by a fireworks display. The full program will be announced in the coming weeks.

The 2017 QBE Insurance Carols by Candlelight will take place in Elder Park on Sunday, December 10, with fun family activities kicking off from 2.00pm, and the City of Adelaide pre-show entertainment from 5.00pm, with the Carols running from 8.15pm to 10.30pm.

New this year is the ticketed Gold Class seating option, which offers prime viewing of the main stage with reserved seating available from 3.00pm. Tickets start at $40 plus booking fee.

The 2017 QBE Insurance Carols by Candlelight will be broadcast on Channel Seven on Monday, December 11 at 7.30pm.
