Georgia Darcy, in her performance, Cabaret de la Vie en Rose, was the first performer that the venue had hosted and she opened to a warm and encouraging audience as she took to the stage in the quaint atmosphere of this lovely eatery on Unley Road.

Darcy is a true performer whose passion shines through with each and every song. Her voice is strong, like her persona, and punctuated throughout the evening is a gentle banter by which Darcy endears herself to her audience. She is a natural storyteller and very much at ease onstage.

Part of her charm is that she doesn't take herself too seriously and so, when she really belts out some numbers, she takes you by surprise as the passion in her voice is undeniable and, at times, she lifted the room with her wonderful vocals.

Darcy sang beautiful French songs to us during the hour-long show, and there were impromptu sing-alongs as the audience were swept up in Darcy's renditions of Cabaret, and of Those Were the Days, by Mary Hopkin.

Darcy shared with us that performing cabaret keeps her real and so that's why she does it and Darcy does it so well. So if you are looking for a charming atmosphere to dine and a good show afterwards then make sure you book a ticket to this. It starts at 8:30pm so be sure to book a table earlier.

All who attended were thoroughly entertained and foot-stomped for an encore, so it was hats off, or should I say berets off, to Georgia Darcy as she delivered a fine performance on the night. A good night was had by all.
