Magic Smoking Monkey Theatre presents The Abominable Dr. Phibes...in 3-D! Performing May 13 - 21, 2011, Friday and Saturday at 8pm and 10:30pm nightly at the Regional Arts Commission Studio Theatre, 6128 Delmar in University City.

Magic Smoking Monkey Theatre - the simians who brought you the epic parody mash-up, The One-Hour Lord of the Rings Trilogy and The One Hour Star Wars Trilogy return with The Abominable Dr. Phibes...in 3-D!

London doctors are turning up dead in mysterious circumstances: death by bees, bats, rats, snow machines. Detective Inspector Trout is stumped - the only apparent link between the crimes is that all the victims assisted Dr. Vesalius in the unsuccessful surgery on the late Victoria Phibes. All the evidence points toward her husband - doctor, organist and Biblical scholar Anton Phibes. But it couldn't be him - he was killed in a car crash! Or was he??? The show is presented in Monkeyvision, an amazing new innovation in 3-D technology.

MSMT celebrates Vincentennial (the 100th anniversary of the birth of St. Louis native Vincent Price) with their production of this show.

The parody is directed by Artistic Director Donna Northcott and features Richard Lewis as Dr.Phibes, Luke Lindberg as Dr. Vesalius, and Ben Ritchie as Det. Inspector Trout, with Nicole Angeli, Casey Boland, Jaysen Cryer, Ruman Kazi, Scott McMaster, Sarah Porter, and Jason Puff.

Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 students 21 and under. Advance tickets are available through www.brownpapertickets.com (1-800-838-3006) or at the theatre box office beginning one hour prior to showtime. Seating is limited - reservations are strongly recommended.
