Tarragon Theatre, under the artistic direction of Richard Rose, proudly presents Marry Me a Little with music and lyrics by the undisputed master of the contemporary musical, Stephen Sondheim. Directed by Adam Brazier with musical direction by Paul Sportelli, this charming and bittersweet tale about love, loneliness and commitment stars Elodie Gillett and Adrian Marchuk. Marry Me a Little opens tomorrow, Wednesday, March 5 and runs to April 6 in Tarragon's Mainspace. Barnes & Noble just celebrated the new Ghostlight Recordscast recording Marry Me a Little - featuring songs by Stephen Sondheim - with a special in-store performance and CD signing yesterday, January 13. The event included performances by the show's stars Lauren Molina and Jason Tam, who were joined on piano by Musical Director John Bell. Primary Stages, in association with Ted Snowdon, launches their 29th season with the New York premiere of Harbor at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters. Written by Tony-nominated Chad Beguelin (Elf, The Wedding Singer) and directed by Tony-nominated director Mark Lamos (Seascape, The Rivals, The Deep Blue Sea), the production features Erin Cummings (Starz's 'Spartacus: Blood and Sand', ABC's 'Pan Am,' CBS' 'Made In Jersey'), Randy Harrison (Showtime's 'Queer As Folk', Broadway's Wicked), Alexis Molnar (world premiere of Harbor at Westport Playhouse), and Paul Anthony Stewart (Broadway's Fiddler on the Roof, The People in the Picture). For generations, musical theatre writers have come to New York City to change the world. 'Once Upon A Time In New York City' was about the people who have changed THEM. This concert featured musical theatre writers- who are ages 19 to 90, who were born everywhere from Kansas City to San Francisco to Montreal, who are established and who are emerging- each writing a song about someone who has changed their idea of New York City. Marry Me a Little kicks off their 2012 - '13 season and will be followed by a newly revised version of the 1991 play, The Old Boy by A.R. Gurney. Performances will continue through October 27th, with two additional Wednesday matinees on October 17th and 24th. On Saturday, July 31, stage favorites Patti LuPone, Audra McDonald, Michael Cerveris and George Hearn teamed up with the Ravina Festival and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in tribute to Stephen Sondheim.
