Giant Photos - Off-Broadway

The stars of Off-Broadway's hit comedy HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER performed live for THE RIDE on May 8th in Times Square. As the giant tour bus approached the Lyceum Theatre on 45th Street, it stopped in front of HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER's Margaret Copeland and Kevin James Doyle clad in elderly garb on the sidewalk. To the delight of the passengers, they performed the opening sketch of the show in which two altkakas bitterly (and hilariously) complain about a bygone New York City before gentrification wiped out all the fun. Primary Stages launched its 28th season with Harrison,TX: Three Plays by Horton Foote. Opening night was last night, August 14. Tony Award nominees HAllie Foote (Dividing the Estate, The Orphans' Home Cycle) and Jayne Houdyshell (Follies, Well) will head up an ensemble featuring Devon Abner (Dividing the Estate, The Orphans' Home Cycle), Mary Bacon (Motherhood Out Loud, Happy Now?) Jeremy Bobb (Is He Dead?, Shipwrecked!...), Alexander Cendese (Psycho Therapy, A View From the Bridge), Andrea Lynn Green (Giant, Anne and Emmett), Evan Jonigkeit (High, History Boys at Arden Theatre Company), and Jenny Dare Paulin (Dividing the Estate, The Orphans' Home Cycle). Helmed by Tony Award nominated director Pam MacKinnon (Clybourne Park, A Lifetime Burning at Primary Stages), Harrison,TX: Three Plays by Horton Foote runs through September 15 at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters. On Sunday, 12 August, 2012, David Suchet met the cast of Threesixty Entertainment's The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe in Kensington Gardens. Suchet recorded the voice of Aslan, a giant puppet, for the production back in May while performing in the West End play Long Day's Journey Into Night, which closes at the Apollo Theatre on Saturday, 18th August. Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) presents Yankee Doodle Dandy from July 17 - 22, 2012. This production recounts the life of the first giant of American musical theatre, George M.
