New Orleans Native Returns to Perform with Houston Ballet 10/24

The New Orleans Ballet Association is proud to announce that New Orleans' very own Mireille Hassenboehler will once again take the stage with Houston Ballet at the Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts. Following last season's triumphant premiere of Marie, the company returns on October 24 at 8pm for a special command performance of works by four of the world's preeminent choreographers.

Music Director Designate ALAN GILBERT Returns To Lead The New York Philharmonic In Two Programs, 4/30 - 5/9

Alan Gilbert, who will become Music Director of the New York Philharmonic in September 2009, returns to New York to lead two weeks of programs with the Orchestra. The first series of concerts ? Thursday, April 30, 2009, at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, May 1 and 2, and 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, May 5, at 7:30 p.m. will comprise Dvorák?s The Golden Spinning Wheel; Saint-Saëns?s Violin Concerto No. 3, with Joshua Bell as soloist; and Martin's Symphony No. 4.

THE ILLUSION & GHETTO Open May Performances At Northwestern University

The Theatre and Interpretation Center at Northwestern University will continue its 2008-09 season in May with the two remaining Mainstage productions: an adaptation of a Pierre Corneille classic, and a Holocaust drama by Israeli playwright and director Joshua Sobol. It also will present a Wallis Works-In-Progress adaptation of a story by Zimbabwean doctor and celebrated writer J. Nozipo Maraire.

2009 Festival Of New American Musicals Held April-July

Under the mentorship of Tony Award-winning composer/lyricist William Finn, Barrington Stage Company is proud to announce the third exciting season of its acclaimed Musical Theater Lab. Developed by Artistic Director Julianne Boyd in conjunction with Finn in 2006, the Lab is designed to nurture and assist musical theater writers, composers, and lyricists as they create new works.
