Grammy Award-winning and platinum-selling recording artist Jennifer Lopez returns to AMERICAN IDOL XIII as a judge. Lopez will be joined by Grammy- and Emmy Award-winning multi-platinum singer, musician, songwriter, composer and film/television and Broadway actor Harry Connick, Jr.

While renowned as a performer, band leader and composer, 'Dave Brubeck was a giant not only in music but in spirit,' said Milken Archive founder Lowell Milken. 'His work will continue to speak an eternal message of hope for the brotherhood of man.' He was a great friend of the Milken Archive of American Jewish Music, which recorded The Gates of Justice in 2001 as well as his choral cantata The Commandments in 2007. The Broadway world is abuzz with all things FOLLIES so it was perfect timing that this past Monday night, at Judith Ivey's home, the 2001 revival cast of FOLLIES got together 'to glamorize the old days, stumble through a song or two, and lie about ourselves...a little.'
Ok, so there was no singing, but practically the entire cast got together to celebrate what was an amazing experience in their lives and the amazing family they considered ourselves back in 2001. Blogging about the experience was Broadway veteran Randy Slovacek, who gave us exclusive permission to run his memories of the night (and production).
As an actor, Randy has appeared on Broadway in Follies, Chicago and Hello, Dolly!, as well as the National companies of A Chorus Line, Cats, 42nd Street, Chicago and Hello, Dolly!.
In addition, Randy is a published writer with articles in prominent magazines and is the author of his own blog, 'The Randy Report.'

Given the odds, for one to have been involved with a singular Broadway success would be impressive. To have been involved with two would solidify one's status as a true Broadway 'player.' How about 4, running at the same time?
Only two artists have been able to boast such an accomplishment, the first being Susan Stroman, whose productions of Contact, The Producers, The Music Man, and Thou Shalt Not all ran simultaneously for a short time in 2001. Last season, Broadway's go-to choreographer, Sergio Trujillo, joined her company with his superfecta of Next to Normal, Jersey Boys, The Addams Family and Memphis. It appears that like Jersey Boys, Memphis, and The Addams Family, Trujillo is showing no signs of breaking his streak, or going anywhere, with new projects in the pipeline incoming.
The new Christmas musical has special meaning for Timothy, who's in his second show this year directed by Casey Nicholaw.
