Barbara Schaffer Bacon is the co-director of the Animating Democracy program at Americans for the Arts, and Sandy Agustin, is an artist and cultural worker based in Minneapolis. Schaffer Bacon has written, edited, and contributed to several publications, including the revised edition of Fundamentals of Local Arts Management and The Cultural Planning Work Kit, published by the Arts Extension Service. Sandy Agustin is an independent consultant, facilitator, and performing artist/choreographer.

When Benjamin's (Banner) first novel vaults him into literary stardom, his friend David (Esper), a struggling playwright, is thrilled for his newfound success...or is he? The season kicks off with the world premiere of Yellowjackets by Itamar Moses. Followed August Wilson's masterpiece Joe Turner's Come and Gone; Mary Zimmerman's The Arabian Nights; the world premiere of The Vibrator Play by Sarah Ruhl;Fyodor Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment; and Waters tackles Martin McDonagh again in The Lieutenant of Inishmore. The season concludes with David Henry Hwang's Berkeley Rep debut, Yellow Face.
