Miami New Drama (MiND) at Colony Theatre opens the season with a ground-breaking production of the classic drama, Our Town. MiND's Artistic Director, Michel Hausmann, has re-envisioned Thornton Wilder's iconic tale of life, love and death in small town America for 21st century Miami, incorporating translations in Spanish by Pulitzer Prize-winner, Nilo Cruz, and in Creole by renowned playwright, Jeff Augustin. This production marks the first time that the Thornton Wilder Estate has allowed the text of this Pulitzer Prize winning drama to be altered. Our Town premieres Thursday, October 26, and runs through Sunday, November 19, at the Colony Theatre (1040 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach).

Committed to creating world class theater, Artistic Director Michel Hausmann presents the company's first full season with four thought-provoking productions from October 2017 through May 2018. The Old Globe today announced the creative team for the next show of the Globe's 2017-2018 Season, acclaimed actor and playwright James Lecesne's tour-de-force one-man show, The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey.

The Old Globe presents the first show of its 2017-2018 Season, the world premiere musical Benny & Joon, with book by Kirsten Guenther, music by Nolan Gasser, and lyrics by Mindi Dickstein. Based on the beloved 1993 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer motion picture written by Barry Berman and Leslie McNeil, Benny & Joon is directed by Jack Cummings III, Artistic Director of New York's Transport Group.
