BLITHE SPIRIT to Play at Shubert Starting 2/26; Simon Jones Joins Cast

The producers of Blithe Spirit are pleased to announce the show will play The Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street). Rehearsals are scheduled to begin Monday, January 26, 2009 with the first performance on Thursday, February 26, 2009.

Beginning its 30th year of broadcast, the American Theatre Wing's 'Working in the Theatre' program will feature 'Actors Words, Writers Voice' on CUNY TV on Sunday, November 2 at 5 p.m. The program will repeat on Friday, November 7 at 9 a.m., 2 and 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, November 8 at 11 a.m. The program becomes available as streaming video and podcast from www.americantheatrewing.org, as well as iTunes, beginning Wednesday afternoon, November 5.

GTA's Road Theater USA embarks on a hilarious theatrical adventure - or misadventure - as five actors (three German and two from the US), two Austrian video artists and the GTA team go cross-country in a tricked out school bus, travelling from New York to Los Angeles in search of the 'American Dream' and touring the world premiere of Start Up, a black comedy written specifically for GTA by Roland Schimmelpfennig, Germany's most produced contemporary playwright. Start Up will run at Performance Space 122 from Sunday, October 7 through Sunday, October 14.

The 30-week tour of the two-time 2005 Tony Award-nominated production will launch September 5, 2006 in Fort Worth, Texas at Bass Performance Hall. A complete list of touring cities and venues will be announced in the coming weeks.
