Broadway's most talked about new musical and the biggest Tony Award-winner in years is coming to the Orange County Performing Arts Center.
Philip Wegener, Sara Schedeen and Christopher Barrett present Tim Piper starring as John Lennon in the world premiere of JUST IMAGINE, directed by Steve Altman. JUST IMAGINE will preview on Friday, October 2 at 8pm; Saturday, October 3 at 8pm; Sunday, October 4 at 3pm and will open on Friday, October 9 at 8pm (John Lennon's 69th Birthday) and will run for six weeks through Sunday, November 8 at the NoHo Arts Center, 11136 Magnolia Blvd. (at Lankershim) in North Hollywood.
The Nederlander Theatre box office opens today, August 31 at 10:00 AM for THE NEIL SIMON PLAYS, the first Broadway revivals of BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS and BROADWAY BOUND. From the ingenious mind of John Guare, who brought Six Degrees of Separation and The House of Blue Leaves to the American stage, this delicious dark comedy springs to life with twisted humor, rapid-fire dialogue, and outrageous plot twists. The revival script includes significant rewrites to the original text, as well as hilarious songs freshly scribed by Guare himself. In Rich and Famous, playwright Bing Ringling yearns to savor the sweet taste of celebrity, and he's hoping play number 844 will be his lucky break.
