"The Pajama Men's" latest show, JUST THE TWO OF EACH OF US, playing at the Woolly Mammoth Theatre, in Washington, DC, is hilariously funny, although largely incomprehensible. The act incorporates elements of stand-up, vaudeville, farce, sketch comedy, and improv. If an audience member misses a joke, there's no need to worry - another one will be along a few seconds later. The humor, however, is not for the faint of heart.
The legendary choreographer Jacques d'Amboise, founder of the National Dance Institute, will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the McCallum Theatre's 16th Annual Choreography Festival on Saturday, November 9th at 7pm. The Saturday night edition of the Choreography Festival also features eleven choreographers from across the nation who will compete for multiple awards and a paid engagement. An additional division of choreographers will be showcased on Sunday, November 10th at 4pm. The Rite of Spring, the groundbreaking ballet set to the music by Igor Stravinsky, is now celebrating its centennial year, and returns to the Richmond Ballet repertory after a highly successful run at the Virginia Arts Festival in May of 2013.
