Kean University Players on Tour will present A Midsummer Night's Dream from March 30 to April 3 at the University Center Little Theatre in Union, NJ. Following the on-campus run, the troupe will bring their production to schools in the region, including Arthur L. Three-time Tony Award-winning scenic designer ROBIN WAGNER and esteemed costume designer LEWIS BROWN are among the 2011 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 8 at 6:30pm at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Mr. Brown was selected to receive the 2011 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design, and Tony Award-winning scenic designer Robin Wagner will receive the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. Sadly, Mr. Brown passed away in January of 2011. His award will be accepted by his long-time colleague and friend, Albert Wolsky, who was the recipient of the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award

Esplanade's (1975) pedestrian, 'found' movement displays the exuberance of youth, the sadness of a dysfunctional family, and the romantic interplay of lovers.

Washington National Opera (WNO) today announced the third-annual Target FREE Opera in the Outfield, a free, live opera broadcast at Nationals Park. This year's simulcast, Verdi's dramatic opera A Masked Ball (Un Ballo in Maschera), will take place on the afternoon of Sunday, September 19, 2010, and is expected to attract up to 20,000 people for free opera and 'pre-game' activities in the festive ballpark atmosphere.
Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast Premiere of Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro's The Last Romance. Old Globe Associate Artist and television icon Marion Ross will star with her longtime partner Paul Michael in the new romantic comedy which was written for them by DiPietro.
