His adaptation brings lyricism and ferocity to the story of the tyrannical captain and his manipulative wife, and the "innocent" Kurt who stumbles into their midst and quickly finds himself ensnared in the couple's wicked game.

Stage and screen star Helen Mirren has joined the cast of the upcoming thriller 'Red', Variety reports. Already announced for the cast are Morgan Freeman and Bruce Willis. Produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Gregory Noveck, and Mark Vahradian, 'Red' is written by Erich and Joe Hoeber and directed by Robert Schwentke.
