Producers Thomas Schumacher of Disney Theatrical Productions and Cameron Mackintosh are pleased to welcome Olivier-nominee Scarlett Strallen and Adam Fiorentino (in their Broadway debuts as Mary Poppins and Bert, respectively), to the company of the award-winning musical MARY POPPINS, beginning tonignt Thursday, October 9 at the New Amsterdam Theatre (214 West 42nd Street).

Eric Schaeffer, the Artistic Director of Signature Theatre, tonight announced that Signature will honor Stephen Sondheim at a Gala Benefit in April and establish an annual award as a tribute to America's most influential contemporary musical theater composer. Signature will salute Mr. Sondheim at a black-tie Gala Celebration on Monday, April 27, 2009, in Washington, DC highlighted by a musical tribute, festive dinner, and dancing and inaugurate an annual honor to be known in future years as The Sondheim Award.

Producers of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, The New Musical announce that Obie Award-winner and Rochester, NY native Donna Lynne Champlin (Sweeney Todd, Hollywood Arms, By Jeeves) will play the role of Jane Austen in the Broadway-bound musical's one-night-only performance event at Rochester's historic Eastman Theatre on Tuesday, October 21. Champlin joins previously-cast Colin Donnell (Jersey Boys, Follies) as Mr. Darcy.

It was announced today that Nicolette Hart (Rent) and Kate Rockwell (NBC's 'Grease: You're The One That I Want) will join the cast of LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL in May. Ms. Hart will take over the role of Brooke Wyndham on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 and Ms. Rockwell will perform the role of Margot starting Wednesday, May 14, 2008.

Paper Mill Playhouse, the 70-year-old regional theater in Millburn, New Jersey nearly closed its doors a year ago due to a financial crisis. Today, Paper Mill Playhouse is making a come-back as incredible as the New York Giants in the recent Super Bowl. Although the theatre still needs additional contributed support, Paper Mill Playhouse is seeing an all-around resurgence.

David Hyde Pierce, the winner of the 2007 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his performance in Curtains, will appear on tonight's episode of 'The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch.' The show airs on CNBC at 10:00 PM (ET) tonight, February 7.

Charlotte Moore and Ciaran O'Reilly continue The Irish Repertory Theatre's twentieth season with George Bernard Shaw's The Devil's Disciple, directed by Tony Walton. Performances begin Wednesday, December 5, 2007 and will perform through January 27, 2008. The official opening will be on Thursday, December 13, 2007. The Irish Repertory Theatre is located at 132 West 22nd St.

Casting has been announced for the special holiday encore engagement of Jersey Boys, set to play San Francisco's Curran Theatre from November 20-December 30, 2007. The cast of Jersey Boys will be lead by Rick Faugno (Frankie Valli), San Franciscan Jeff Leibow (Nick Massi), Bryan McElroy (Tommy DeVito) and Andrew Rannells (Bob Gaudio) as The Four Seasons with Jonathan Hadley and Ken Krugman.

Feinstein's at Loews Regency will continue their Fall 2007 season with the debut of film stage and TV star Susan Anton.
