Broadway's rockin' goodtime musical ROCK OF AGES is heading north, beginning performances in Toronto on April 20, 2010 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre. Tickets for this eagerly anticipated Canadian Premiere will go on sale in person in a fun-filled 1980s-themed event on Friday, November 27, 2009 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre Box Office at 12:30 PM and by phone and web on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 9:00 AM.

Broadway's rockin' goodtime musical ROCK OF AGES is heading north, beginning performances in Toronto on April 20, 2010 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre. Famed performance space Joe's Pub has announced a revised upcoming line up of event in November and early December. Performers include Lauren Abrose, Coleman Domingo, Capathia Jenkins and Louis Rosen, Hair's Caissie Levy, and more. Kelly Joe Phelps who was previously scheduled to perform on 11/14, has pulled out and has been replaced PT Walkley.

Prompter on Hand for First Week of THE STARRY MESSENGER

According to the cast, a prompter will be on hand for the first week of performances of THE STARRY MESSENGER. As the director/writer Kenneth Lonergan continually made changes up to the first preview performance, actors felt they would be more comfortable on stage with a line prompter in the first row to assist them if they got stuck. Due to the last minute rewrites, the cast was unable to hold a full run through with an audience prior to the first preview. The New York Times reports that during the first preview on Monday, an audience member estimated that the show's star, Matthew Broderick, called out for about 10 lines throughout the night.
