A backstage musical comedy murder mystery set in a Boston theatre in the 1950s. The leading lady has been murdered during the curtain call and homicide detective (and musical theatre afficianado) Frank Cioffi is called in to investigate. Bodies begin to pile up as the cast shrinks and everyone is a suspect.

American Idol's Ace Young To Join Cast of 'Grease'

The producers of the smash hit Broadway production of GREASE are proud to announce that 'American Idol' Season Five finalist, Ace Young, will make his Broadway debut when he joins the company in the role of 'Kenickie' on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. Ace Young achieved widespread fame in 2006 as a finalist on the hugely successful FOX singing competition 'American Idol.' With weekly exposure to the 40 million plus viewers of America's most widely watched television program, Ace quickly became one of the most recognizable male faces ever to appear on 'Idol.'

Set to star are Lauren Kennedy (Spamalot, Side Show) as Mary, Sarah Stiles (Avenue Q, …Spelling Bee) as Joanne and Anneliese van der Pol (Beauty and the Beast, TV's 'That's So Raven') as Kathy. The first Broadway revival of the landmark rock musical will officially open on Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street) on Thursday, October 23, 2008. The musical's book by Patricia Resnick is based on her original story and screenplay for the smash 1980 film comedy.
