By:

Portland Ovations presents Emmy and Tony Award-winner, Kristin Chenoweth on Saturday, October 1st at Merrill Auditorium at 8pm to kick-off its 86th season.

Kristin Chenoweth is beloved for her talents that span film, television and stage. She is known as the original Glinda in the hit musical Wicked and for her Tony Award-winning role as Sally in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and has won over TV audiences with a laundry list of memorable roles, including her Emmy-nominated appearances on Glee. The songbird seamlessly incorporates pop, country, gospel, classical and, of course, musical theater numbers into her stage performance.

Chenoweth will sing a lifetime of her favorite songs, including some from "Wicked" and other Broadway shows, during her October 1st Portland performance accompanied by a pianist.

"She is one of those performers who radiates such amazing presence and artistry. For us, it's a perfect kickoff to our season." states Portland Ovations Executive Director, Aimée M. Petrin,

The New York Times calls Chenoweth "Adorable, peppy, ingratiating and fiercely talented..."

Tickets for Kristin Chenoweth range from $65 to $100. To purchase tickets visitwww.portlandovations.org, call PortTIX at 207.842.0800 or go to the box office window at Merrill Auditorium.
