Park Square Theatre presents William Shakespeare's whimsical tale of magic and mistaken identity, A Midsummer Night's Dream, over Thanksgiving weekend. The public has three opportunities to see Midsummer, with performances Today, November 23 at 7:30 p.m., and two shows Saturday, November 24 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Katselas Theatre Company presents THEATRE SEX: BEFORE & AFTER, theatrical readings in honor of World AIDS Day 2012.

Mitchell Hébert, professor of theater at the University of Maryland, co-directed the School of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies and National Academy of Chinese Theater Arts' bilingual production of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Burning Coal Theatre Company presents William Shakespeare's comic As You Like It. The production will run November 29 - December 16, 2012 at the Murphey School, 224 Polk Street, Raleigh, NC. Legendary actor Brian Dennehy will guest star on THE BIG C: hereafter, a four-part limited event series starring Laura Linney, Oliver Platt, John Benjamin Hickey, Gabriel Basso and Gabourey Sidibe.

The University of Maryland's School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies performed their original interpretation of the Shakespearean comedy in collaboration with the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts at UMD in September and Beijing, China in October. Helen Huang, professor of Costume Design at UMD, talks about this groundbreaking production.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company and Suffolk University will present Robert Brustein's final installment of the trilogy about the life of William Shakespeare, The Last Will at the Modern Theatre at Suffolk University from February 13 to 24, 2013.

According to an Equity casting notice, THE LAST GOODBYE, a musical featuring the tunes of the late Jeff Buckley, will soon get a New York City reading. The show, which premiered at Williamstown Theatre Festival, will hold a developmental lab January 27- February. Alex Timbers will direct and Sonya Tayeh will choreograph.

The Skidmore College Department of Theater has announced its Fall 2012 mainstage production, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM by William Shakespeare, directed by Doug Seldin. Performances are tonight, November 16-18 and November 29-December 2. All shows are in the Janet Kinghorn Bernhard Theater at 8:00pm except Sunday matinees at 2:00pm.

Manhattan Shakespeare Project, an all-female Shakespeare theater company, will send members to The Drama Academy in Ramallah, Palestine from Sunday, November 25 to Friday, December 7, 2012 to teach 14 Palestinian drama students on William Shakespeare text & performance, movement, and viewpoints.
