Today, Cameron Mackintosh released the trailer for the upcoming movie of the long-running Broadway musical LES MISERABLES based on Victor Hugo's 19th-century French fable of social injustice. Check it out below - the trailer is dominated by Anne Hathoway's rendition of 'I Dreamed a Dream' from her role as Fantine.

The moment Broadway babies have been waiting for has at long, long last finally arrived - the LES MIZ movie trailer just hit the internet in the wee hours of Wednesday morning. As many suspected - and as the leaked, low-quality work print teaser indicated a few weeks back - the song selection showcased was, indeed, Anne Hathaway's impassioned and plaintive "I Dreamed A Dream", and, just as suspected, the trailer absolutely delivered in giving us the decadence, drama, epic imagery and all-consuming emotion we expected.

Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly leads the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Baltimore Choral Arts Society in a concert featuring popular favorites from musicals such as Les Miserables and Miss Saigon on Thursday, April 19 at 8 p.m. at the Music Center at Strathmore, Friday, April 20 at 8 p.m., Saturday, April 21 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 22 at 3 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Entitled "Do You Hear the People Sing," this program celebrates music by two of the world's most prolific writers of modern musical theatre, Alain Boublil and Claude?Michel Schonberg, whose masterpiece Les Miserables is the longest?running musical in the world. The Civic Center of Greater Des Moines is scheduled to bring some of Broadway's most acclaimed and loved shows to Iowan audiences during their 2012-2013 season. Shows included in the standard season package include the national tours of LES MISERABLES, WAR HORSE, THE BOOK OF MORMON, JEKYLL & HYDE, and MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET. Also featured during the season are BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, ROCK OF AGES, and JERSEY BOYS.

The London Royal Opera House production of RIGOLETTO, an opera in three acts with music by Giuseppe Verdi, will be presented live in HD through Opera in Cinema/Emerging Pictures at the Big Cinemas Manhattan Theater at 239 East 59th Street on April 17 at 2:30 p.m.

Broadway In Chicago recently announced the complete 2012-2013 season, bringing old favorites, as well as new ones to Chicagoan theater-goers. The upcoming season will include I LOVE LUCY LIVE ON STAGE, KINKY BOOTS, SISTER ACT, DR. SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL, and WAR HORSE. In addition to the shows running during the official season, off-season specials include Stuffed And Unstrung, Rock Of Ages, Rain: A Tribute To The Beatles and Les Miserables.
