HOLLER IF YA HEAR ME, written by Todd Kreidler and directed by Kenny Leon, blazes to life in a non-biographical story about friendship, family, revenge, change and hope. Inner city lives struggle for peace against the daily challenges they face in this entertaining and original musical. Through the poetry of one of the 20th century's most influential and culturally prominent voices, we are given a window into realities of the streets still relevant today.
The show opened just last week, June 19 at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway at 47th Street), and BroadwayWorld was on the red carpet to capture all of the opening night fashions! Check out full photo coverage below!

The PSA will continue to broadcast every six minutes, 24-hours per day through May 15th. Broadway star Valisia LeKae, a 2013 Tony Award ® nominee for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance as Diana Ross in Motown: The Musical and an ovarian cancer survivor, joins her gynecological oncologist David Fishman, MD, Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive science at The Mount Sinai Hospital, and Director and Founder of the Mount Sinai Ovarian Cancer Risk Assessment Program, and executives from Toshiba, for the 10-second countdown to the debut of a 30-second Public Service Announcement (PSA) promoting Ovarian Cancer Awareness on the Toshiba Vision Screens on Thursday, May 1, 9:59:50 a.m., at 46th Street and 7th Avenue.

Broadway star Valisia LeKae visited the Emmy-winning Syndicated daytime talk show, THE DOCTORS, today, Friday, February 28 to discuss her recent ovarian cancer diagnosis. In the interview below, LeKae opens up about the incredible progress she's made on her road to recover, and most importantly, confirms she's doing 'very, very well.'
A 2013 Tony Award nominee for her performance as Diana Ross, LeKae announced last December that she had to withdraw from the Broadway production for medical reasons, later confirming her departure in a statement on her personal Facebook page that she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. The actress shares her story with the doctors and updates her prognosis.'
