TACT/The Actors Company Theatre, the critically acclaimed company voted 'Company of the Year' by The Wall Street Journal, will celebrate its 21st Anniversary of presenting 'neglected or rarely produced works of literary merit' at its annual Spring Gala tonight, April 29th at The University Club (One East 54th Street). The celebratory evening will kick off at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception featuring the popular 'Pick-a-Prize' Raffle, where attendees can select which prize they want to win, followed by dinner and live auction featuring celebrity auctioneer David Silvermanat 7:30 p.m.

Rehearsals began this week for Titan Theatre Company's final production of its critically acclaimed second season, Shakespeare's masterpiece, KING LEAR. The epic story of the 'Mad King' and his three daughters will run April 25 - May 11, 2014 at Queens Theatre, the borough's premiere performing arts venue. Currently in the midst of its critically acclaimed second full season, fast-rising Titan Theatre Company has just been named a 2014 recipient of the Queen Arts Fund Grant, under the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs. The announcement was made on Wednesday January 29, 2014. The grant has been designated towards organizational support for Titan Theatre's upcoming production of King Lear starring Broadway veteran Terry Layman (Broadway's Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Twelve Angry Men) in the title role. The production will April 25 - May 11 at the Queens Theatre. The York Theatre Company, and its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series, will present the premiere of two new musicals: Love in Our Language, with Book & Lyrics by Judy Goetz Sanger and Music by Howard Marren, and Swing Wings, with Book & Lyrics by William Schermerhorn and Music by Milton Delugg and Mary Ehlinger at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).
