The Alzheimer's Association, New York City Chapter (the Chapter) is now selling tickets to the Thursday, April 23, 2015 benefit performance of Broadway's It Shoulda Been You. This hilarious and heartwarming new musical is a culture clash for the ages when two families from wildly different backgrounds come together to celebrate a wedding.

Tony and Emmy Award winner Tyne Daly, Tony Award winner Harriet Harris, Sierra Boggess and Lisa Howard head an outstanding cast in It Shoulda Been You, the hilarious and heartwarming new musical comedy that proves when it comes to wedding day insanity, everything is relative. It Shoulda Been You, which had a sold-out premiere at New Jersey's George Street Playhouse, will officially open on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. Broadway Records announced today that the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack of the movie musical, Life of an Actress, will be released on CD and digitally on Tuesday, April 28th

The undie-rock comedy-pop duo of Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley (The Skivvies) have a monthly residency at 42West (514 West 42nd Stree), which features an all-star line up of guest artists from the worlds of Broadway, Television and Film. The concert takes place Monday, April 13, 2015.

Now in the midst of their second international concert tour, Well-Strung, The Singing String Quartet, will return to New York's 54 Below with their latest production, 'POPssical' tonight, March 27 at 9:30 PM for one show only. The group had also recently been featured at the club last October in Tony-winner Joanna Gleason's critically acclaimed new show.

The continuation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's most beloved musical is set to open in Germany this fall. LOVE NEVER DIES, or LIEBE STIRBT NIE, will premiere at Hamburg's Stage Operetta House, reuniting the 2011 creative team from the Australian production. 'I am very pleased that Simon Phillips' production of LOVE NEVER DIES will come to Hamburg,' says Andrew Lloyd Webber. 'This is truly one of the best performances I've ever seen from one of my works.'

Well-Strung has been establishing a growing presence amongst Broadway fans. The all-male, singing string quartet whose members are Chris Marchant, Daniel Shevlin, Trevor Wadleigh and Edmund Bagnell, was the brainchild of Manager Mark Cortale and Marchant. They first came on to BroadwayWorld's radar when they appeared onstage for the Opening Gala of the Walt Disney Theater in Orlando, part of the new Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. The gala was directed by Richard Jay-Alexander and conducted by Mary-Mitchell Campbell, with members of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. But check out who they shared the stage with: Sierra Boggess, Deborah Voigt, Chris Mann, Norm Lewis & more. We then saw them at the Hirschfeld Theatre in another stellar line-up that included Rob McClure, Julie Haltson, Tituss Burgess, Lena Hall, Florence Henderson, Norm Lewis, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Lillias White, Lily Tomlin and more Broadway favorites for Broadway Backwards, on March 9th, directed by Robert Bartley with musical supervision by Mary-Mitchell Campbell and conducted by Tim Rosser. The guys definitely impressed.

'If music be the food of love, play on.' Even before the invention of the musical comedy (more on that later), William Shakespeare knew the importance of music in telling stories on stage. For our March feature, my colleague Jeff Walker and I thought that instead of marking the Ides of March with songs about murder, betrayal, and fate, we would focus on the synergy between showtunes and Shakespeare.
