The Comrades are pleased to announce the cast and creative team for DYING CITY by Chri, the second show in their inaugural 2016 season, DYING CITY by Christopher Shinn.

The Menier Chocolate Factory today announces the full company for a major new revival of Tom Stoppard's TRAVESTIES - the first London revival in over 20 years. Patrick Marber directs Clare Foster (Cecily), Freddie Fox (Tristan Tzara), Tom Hollander (Henry Carr), Forbes Masson (Lenin), Peter McDonald (James Joyce), Amy Morgan (Gwendolen), Sarah Quist (Nadya) and Tim Wallers (Bennett). The production - which opens on 4 October, with previews from 22 September and runs until 19 November - is now completely sold out, breaking Menier box office records by becoming the first play to sell out ahead of its opening in the theatre's history.

HighTide Festival, internationally renowned for discovering some of the UK's best new playwrights and producing new plays, has today announced the full ancillary programme for the 2016 Festival (8-18 September) - its 10th anniversary. Sam Hodges, Director of Nuffield Theatre, today announces the cast for his world premiere production of Nick Dear's new play DEDICATION - SHAKESPEARE AND SOUTHAMPTON, which investigates the relationship between William Shakespeare and the 3rd Earl of Southampton. Tom McKay plays Shakespeare and Tom Rhys-Harries plays Henry Wriothesley, the 3rd Earl of Southampton. The production opens on 20 September, with previews from 9 September, runs until 8 October.

Inspired by the classic film and based on the novella by Stephen King, The Shawshank Redemption comes to Canterbury next month (September).

Casting has been announced for first major revival of Caryl Churchill's BLUE HEART, nearly 20 years after its Royal Court premiere, co-produced by Tobacco Factory Theatres and the Orange Tree Theatre. Blue Heart brings them together to work again with key creatives David Mercatali and Angela Davies, who have worked on previous projects with both organisations. The play runs at Tobacco Factory Theatres 22 September-1 October, and at the Orange Tree Theatre 13 October-19 November.

Core Creative Productions will premiere an updated version of CHOKEHOLD by Anthony P. Pennino, directed by Tim Cusack. An earlier version of this intense drama about police brutality won Outstanding Overall Production of a New Play at the 2015 Planet Connections Festivity. Previews begin September 16 at The Theatre at the 14th Street Y with opening slated for September 22.

Paul Nicholls, Jack Ellis and Ben Onwukwe will star in the 2016 UK Tour of THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre from Tuesday 27 September - Saturday 1 October 2016.

The Rocky Horror Show today announces a glittering cast for the autumn and winter legs of the 2016 UK tour.

Artistic Director of The Print Room at the Coronet Anda Winters today announces the full cast for Tennessee Williams' rarely performed A LOVELY SUNDAY IN CREVE COEUR, which opens the theatre's new Autumn season. Michael Oakley directs Debbie Chazen as Bodey, Hermione Gulliford as Helena, Laura Rogers as Dorothea and Julia Watson as Miss Gluck. The production opens in the main theatre space on 15 September, with previews from 12 September and runs until 7 October.

The Menier Chocolate Factory has announced that Harry Hepple (Baker), Steffan Lloyd-Evans (Wolf/ Cinderella's Prince) and Laura Tebbutt (Baker's Wife) will join the company of Fiasco's enchanting reinvention of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's masterpiece INTO THE WOODS. TORN and FATHER COMES HOME FROM THE WARS (PARTS 1, 2 & 3) will play at the Royal Court Theatre in September 2016. Torn explores a family broken by secrets and the scars left of things left unsaid. Father Comes Home From The Wars (Parts 1, 2 & 3)tackles the legacy of slavery in the US and its influence on the African-American experience.

The Royal Court Theatre will host four performances of Shon Dale-Jones' new solo show The Duke at the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs in November 2016. The Duke is produced by Hoipolloi, PBJ Management and Theatre Royal Plymouth in association with Save the Children. The production opens at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe today.

From members of the Olivier Award-winning international smash hit Showstopper!: The Improvised Musical who have pioneered improvised theatre in the UK, Rhapsodes returns to the Edinburgh Fringe from 3rd - 14th August.

The critically acclaimed improvisational frontrunners The Showstoppers are not only bringing their Olivier Award-winning Showstopper! The Improvised Musical to Pleasance Grand this year, the team are also dropping by Pleasance Above with their unique blend of spontaneous musical theatre and whimsical kids entertainment, The Showstoppers' Kids' Show. Aimed entirely at children, The Showstoppers' story factory will be open for business from 3rd - 21st August at 11:40am.

Taking place on 18th August at 4pm at the Royal Court Theatre, this will be an In Conversation event with Vicky Featherstone, Artistic Director of the Royal Court Theatre.

Banana Boat Productions in association with New Perspectives Theatre Company (NPTC) is pleased to announce Crossing Boundaries, two short plays from Trinidadian writers as part of OFF THE BOAT, a summer Caribbean Theatre Festival. Dueling Voices, by the prolific Zeno Obi Constance, is paired with Nice by Mustapha Matura (Playboy of the West Indies.) The production runs August 18 through 27th at New Perspectives Studio, 458 West 37th Street, with performances Wednesday - Saturday at 7:30pm and Sundays at 4:00pm.

Following its hugely successful launch last year, Bill Kenwright's new production of The Shawshank Redemption embarks on a national tour for 2016 coming to the Theatre Royal Glasgow from Monday 21 until Saturday 26 November.
