Tony Award Nominated Producer Matthew Weaver (Rock of Ages) of MediaWeaver Entertainment - a movie, TV and stage production company - has acquired the theatrical stage rights to the trailblazing musical variety television series Soul Train. Created in 1970 by visionary Don Cornelius, Soul Train famously introduced the world to generations of new music and a whole new series of dance moves and styles on a weekly basis. Weaver acquired the rights from Soul Train Holdings, LLC. Weaver is now in talks with theater and film notables to come on board as the creative team for the Broadway production.

Producers of the five-time Tony Award nominated hit musical ROCK OF AGES are have announced that direct from the Las Vegas production Carrie St. Louis will make her Broadway debut in the lead role of Sherrie - the 'small town girl' who 'took the midnight train goin' anywhere' - on Monday, April 21, 2014. Carrie St. Louis originated the role of Sherrie in the Las Vegas production, which opened on January 5, 2013, for which she received The Broadway World Las Vegas Award for Best Actress in a Musical.

The five-time Tony Award Nominated musical ROCK OF AGES continues to celebrate its 5th Anniversary on Broadway, #RockofAge5, by bringing Broadway's Best Party back to NBC's TODAY SHOW on Thursday, March 20. The cast will help TODAY kick off spring in the plaza with a performance in the 8am hour and again in-studio with Kathie Lee & Hoda in the 10am hour. Mavel's follow-up to its 2011 film starring Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman, THOR: THE DARK WORLD easily bested the box office competition this weekend, raking in a god-like haul of $86.1 million. In Friday midnight sales alone, the film managed to take in $7.1 million - double the first installment's $3.2 million take.
