Autobiography by Daisy Copelin is Released
by Christina Mancuso - Mar 20, 2014

Having suffered harrowing abuse as a child, faced academic adversity and struggled with the lesbian lifestyle, Daisy Copelin is no stranger to putting her faith in God. However, after giving her life over to Christ, Copelin's life has transformed itself into a rich mix of ministry and motivation for others. In 'The Diary of an Overcomer', Copelin exposes all to prove that God never gives up on anyone. While she can now be found ministering to large crowds with her uplifting poetry, testimony and prose, it's hard to believe that Daisy Copelin's start in life was far from conventional. Those early years were fraught with abuse, identity confusion and underperformance at school. It's Copelin's dramatic life transformation that makes her story all the more gripping; moving from victim to victor simply by giving her life to God. Copelin's extraordinary life story and wisdom is shared in her new autobiography, 'The Diary of an Overcomer'. Synopsis: In this autobiography of her life Copelin gives an account of the physical, sexual and verbal abuse she endured as a child, falling into a lifestyle of in and out of homelessness and living an alternative lifestyle. She details how she was saved at 14 and found safety and refuge in Church where her youth leader saw in her the calling to preach the gospel, shortly thereafter she began preaching at the annual youth conferences at her church. She received her first inspirational speaking award from her Cornerstone COGIC family, ecstatic she decided that this is what she was destined to do for the rest of her life. Unfortunately years later she fell subject to a lifestyle not conducive to Christ she began living a promiscuous lifestyle with women alongside years of marijuana and alcohol dependence. April 6th 2008 she had an encounter with God that changed her life forever, and now believes God is a God of second chances. This book is an inspirational book of hope, true love, triumph and victory. Daisy Copelin loves God and wants to share with the world the loving, redeeming, delivering and transforming power of God through the gift of poetry and writing. The author is passionate about sharing her story with others so that they too can find solace by growing closer to their faith. 'Nobody's past defines who they are - God is always able to take their pain and turn it into purpose. All they have to do is accept him into their lives,' says Copelin, who travels throughout the city speaking to groups from all walks of life. Continuing, 'From such a young age I dreamed of being an inspirational speaker and author, but my life at the time made those prospects next to impossible. I felt that leaving the pain behind was too complicated - but all it took was a conscious decision to give my life to God and help from my church family. Look at where I am now! Anyone can achieve the same and my book will show them how.' 'The Diary of an Overcomer' is available now: http://amzn.to/1gF2sRL. For more information, visit the author's official website: http://www.daisycopelin.com. About the Author: Daisy Copelin discovered she had the God given ability to write poetry as early as 14 years of age. She entered a poetry contest featured by Montel Williams with her first piece entitled Freedom was needed back in 1850. She won the opportunity to have her poem published as well as the opportunity to go to Washington D.C. to a banquet hosted by Montel Williams. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond her control she wasn't able to attend but believed that God was given her a glimpse of her destiny and greatness at an early age. She didn't allow that to deter her but continued writing. Her second year of college she was exposed to the art of spoken word poetry through a poetry slam contest and fell in love with the art of spoken word poetry. April 6th 2008 she gave her life over to Christ and three years later served as founder and president of the Got Poetry? Slam Club at Nyack College for two years, where she organized events to bring about greater exposure to the art. Little did she know through the club that God was going to open up doors at various churches ministering to the youth through the art of spoken word poetry. She has had the humbling experience of performing at churches all across the NYC area and believes that spoken word poetry is one of the vehicles that God is using in this hour to reach the hearts of the youth.
