Immersive Cinema, Virtual Reality and New Innovations Set for Sundance's 2016 New Frontier Exhibition

A revolution a decade in the making, Sundance Institute celebrates the 10th Anniversary of its New Frontier program with an exhibition of new work at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, including immersive cinematic works, virtual reality installations, an extensive lineup of documentary and narrative mobile VR experiences and an inside look at the innovations being developed at some of world's leading media research labs. 10th Anniversary exhibitions will also be presented with MoMA in New York City in April, and the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis as part of Northern Spark in June.
Lakeshore Records Presents SUITS - Original Series Soundtrack

Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack for SUITS featuring original music by composer Christopher Tyng and “Greenback Boogie” performed by Ima Robot. The album will be available digitally on December 11th and on CD February 12, 2016.

Gaspard & Dancers' TRILOGY Set for Schimmel Center

On Friday and Saturday, September 25th and 26th, choreographer, Gaspard Louis will bring his company, Gaspard & Dancers to perform their Trilogy which pays tribute to the people of Haiti who endured the horrific 2010 earthquake that caused devastation to the island nation. “The Trilogy was my own personal response to the 2010 Haiti earthquake,” says choreographer and Artistic Director, Gaspard Louis.

Orange County, Calif.-Jan. 26, 2015-The next Santa Ana Sites event is the result of what happens when a classical orchestra, Pacific Symphony, teams up with an experimental music ensemble, wild Up, and explores an eclectic mix of contemporary music at a converted warehouse turned art space in Santa Ana, called Logan Creative. Together, a dozen musicians from each ensemble form a string orchestra under the baton of Christopher Rountree, artistic director and conductor of wild Up. The concert takes place today, Feb. 28, at 8 p.m. and features music by two popular, classically trained musicians of the contemporary rock scene: "Popcorn Superhet Receiver" by Jonny Greenwood, the lead guitar player in Radiohead, and "Lachrimae" by Bryce Dessner, guitar player in the indie band The National. Other pieces on the program include Andrew Norman's "Gran Turismo," Arvo Part's "Summa," John Dowland's "Flow My Tears" and Dmitri Shostakovich's Chamber Symphony for Strings in C Minor, Op. 110a. Before the concert, Logan Creative is opening its doors at 6 p.m. to allow guests to visit the artist studios and galleries housed in the complex.
