Amas Musical Theatre in association with North Haven Arts and Enrichment welcomes Broadway's Josh Grisetti (Broadway Bound, Enter Laughing), Alli Mauzey (Wicked, Cry-Baby), and Kevin Pariseau (Legally Blonde) to lead the cast of the New York Premiere of Red Eye of Love, a new musical (based on the 1961 play by Arnold Weinstein) with book and lyrics by Arnold Weinstein and John Wulp, music by Sam Davisand scenic design by renowned American artist Robert Indiana. Tomoe and Yoshinaka will, for the first time, present a double­bill performance featuring Noh, the traditional dance­drama of Japan, alongside a modern Noh-­inspired opera composed by Garrett Fisher with Fisher Ensemble.

For his first directing project since winning the 2014 Tony Award, Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak will helm Shakespeare's masterpiece, Hamlet, playing only four weeks, from October 16 to November 16, at Hartford Stage. Hamlet follows three popular Shakespearean productions in the last two years by Tresnjak: The Tempest, Twelfth Night, and last season's Macbeth.

Dorks in Dungeons, the critically acclaimed fantasy comedy improv show is returning to The Seacoast Rep on Sunday September 14th for its once monthly adventures. Now in its third year, Dorks in Dungeons has toured the country performing its unique long-form improv show based on role playing games like Dungeons & Dragons.

Jughead Theatricals brings Sing, Sing, Sing to the stage of the Heartland Forum in Crown Center. Diane Bulan produces Sing, Sing, Sing in conjunction with the KC Fringe Festival. The Heartland Forum is located in the space once occupied by the American Heartland Theatre.

Westport Country Playhouse stages the sexy and suspenseful story of love, lies, and blackmail, 'Nora,' now through August 2, adapted by Academy Award-winning director/writer Ingmar Bergman from Henrik Ibsen's masterwork, 'A Doll's House.' Opening night set for Thursday, September 4 at 8pm. Performances will continue through September 28, 2014.

Stevenson High School), representing the Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards, was awarded the coveted Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Broadway's Minskoff Theater. The event will be held at the Minskoff Theatre (200 W. 45th St) and begins at 7:30 pm.

Theatre for a New Audience has canceled the today, June 11, evening performance of The Killer due to a scheduling conflict with production of a television show. The theatre deeply regrets the inconvenience to patrons and supporters.

A reception at 6:30 precedes the ceremony, which will begin at 7:30. All are welcome to attend the free event, which is fast becoming the theater-networking event in the state.

Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road) plays Berenger in Eugene Ionesco's The Killer in a production that also features Kristine Nielsen, Paul Sparksand Robert Stanton. The Killer is newly translated by Michael Feingold and is directed by Darko Tresnjak (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder). Last produced Off-Broadway in 1960, The Killer is the final production of Theatre for a New Audience's inaugural season at Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place.
