Roundabout Theatre Company will featureTony Award winner RoseMary Harris as 'Miss Helen,' Carla Gugino as 'Elsa Barlow' and Tony Award winner Jim Dale as 'Marius Byleveld' in the Broadway premiere production of Athol Fugard's play The Road To Mecca, directed by Gordon Edelstein. The Road to Mecca will begin previews on December 16 and open officially on January 17, 2012 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street).

Finborough Theatre Wins Pearson Award Bursary

The Finborough Theatre is pleased to announce that Dawn King has just been awarded a Pearson Playwrights' Bursary for New Writing as Playwright-in-Residence at the Finborough Theatre. This is the seventh year that the Finborough Theatre has won this prestigious new writing award and - once again - the Finborough Theatre is the only unsubsidised theatre to win a Pearson bursary.

Patti LuPone and Laurie Metcalf to Lead David Mamet's THE ANARCHIST on Broadway; Opening Set for Fall 2012

Producers Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel announced that the American premiere of THE ANARCHIST, the new play about politics, money, religion and sex, written and directed by DAVID MAMET. The production will star two-time Tony Award winner PATTI LUPONE, who has previously appeared in Mamet's The Woods, All Men are Whores, The Blue Hour, The Water Engine, Edmond and The Old Neighborhood and three-time Emmy Award winner LAURIE METCALF, who was nominated for a 2008 Tony Award for her performance in Mamet's November. THE ANARCHIST, which marks the sixth collaboration between Richards, Frankel and Mamet, will open on Broadway in Fall 2012.

According to Deadline.com, Tony nominee Christopher Walken has signed on to star in Martin McDonagh's 'Seven Psychopaths' film. Walken joins Colin Farrel and Sam Rockwell in the movie, which will begin production this fall.
